Responsibilities
* Secure and optimize the organization's Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), ensuring they are configured properly and are resistant to attacks.
* Develop and implement policies to ensure secure remote access for users while maintaining network integrity and compliance with best practices.
* Collaborate with the IT and security teams to identify gaps in current firewall configurations and address vulnerabilities.
* Design, implement, and fine-tune firewall rules to minimize security risks and optimize traffic flow.
* Assess and improve the security posture of existing network devices, ensuring they are securely configured to prevent breaches.
* Identify and mitigate risks associated with insecure configurations and practices that may expose the company to threats.
* Perform periodic network security audits and risk assessments to ensure all systems comply with internal and external security requirements.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's or Associate's degree Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Security, or a related field.
* 6+ years of experience in network security engineering, with a strong focus on firewalls, VPNs, and secure network infrastructure.
* Experience configuring and managing Palo Alto firewalls, VPNs, and other network security devices.
* Experience identifying and addressing network vulnerabilities and security gaps.
* Experience in working with security information and event management (SIEM) systems and network traffic analysis tools.
* Proficient knowledge of TCP/IP, VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL), and common network protocols.
* Expertise in network security concepts and tools, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security.
* Strong knowledge of secure network architecture design and best practices.
* Proficient in troubleshooting network and security issues, including VPN connectivity, firewall rules, and traffic filtering.

Provides educational development through guidance and teaching and serves as a technical resource person to the patient, patient's family, physician, students and other hospital staff regarding respiratory care procedures.

A Brief Overview

Physical Demands
