Job Summary: A Line Haul Driver (LHD) is subject to a variable schedule of work. A LHD is expected to run trips as designated by his/her dispatcher based on availability of work. Given that some of the assigned trips may take several days to be completed, Drivers and Dispatchers alike are required to closely monitor LHD's hours of service. As per DOT regulation, a LHD may not exceed 70 on duty hours in any eight (8) consecutive-day period.
