All drivers run daily routes with frequent stops and are required to load packages onto hand trucks and unload product at each stop on the assigned route in the order they are designated by the Transportation Department Manager. Candidate will operate successfully in a cross dock model picking up loaded truck from a nightly delivery at f the assigned loading dock and returning the empty truck back to the assigned lot at the end of the route. Our company is seeking a reliable and experienced Class B Driver to join our team. As a Class B Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various locations in a safe and timely manner.
Responsibilities:
Operate a Class B vehicle in a safe and efficient manner
Transport goods and materials to various locations
Load and unload cargo as needed
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups
Provide exceptional customer service
Promptly and professionally communicate with team members (Dispatch, Office, Warehouse)
Follow all traffic laws and regulations
Comply in accordance with FMCSA regulations
Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members
Requirements
Requirements:
Valid Class B driver's license
Clean driving record
1 year CDL experience preferred
TWIC required for port access
Ability to operate a manual transmission
Knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
Must comply with the company's drug and alcohol testing requirements
Physical Demands:
Climb in/out truck cab
Secure/unsecure work load
Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
Operate electric/manual pallet jack
Lift/carry/push/pull
