This position is a Graveyard Driving Position based out of our Hayward terminal located at 23768 Eichler St. Our Hayward drivers typically do a half-turn along I-5 or in Fresno with a Northbound driver out of Los Angeles and return home every morning. This job requires exceptional attendance and reliability. A hazmat endorsement is MANDATORY . Practice defensive driving principles and follow all company safety policies. Comply with all laws and regulations relating to driving, transporting and handling of freight including those issued by but limited to The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), Department of Transportation (DOT). Comply with truck and trailer security requirements as outlined by the Transportation Safety Administration (TSA). Comply with safe work practices as required by the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) Comply with federal drug and alcohol regulations. Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Must be at least 23 years of age. Minimum of two (2) years commercial driving experience. Clean DMV record (no serious moving violations in the past 5 years) Valid DOT Medical Examination Card. Ability to successfully pass a drug screen and TSA background check. Knowledge of DOT, FMSCA, federal, state, and local traffic laws and regulations. Hazardous materials (HAZMAT) certification, REQUIRED. Experience driving in adverse weather conditions, mountains, and chaining installation. Ability to effectively communicate in English; verbally and in writing.
