Description:- This position is part of the Quality Assurance Support Team for the F-35 Flight Test Program at NAS Patuxent River, MD and will be responsible for completing all required inspections associated with on-aircraft maintenance, repair, and modification. The inspector inspects/verifies work for quality, completeness, proper function, and adherence to processes, procedures, and specifications. In addition, the inspector will inspect material review items for acceptability after disposition has been completed. The position requires accurate and detailed descriptions of non-compliant conditions to facilitate efficient Material Review decisions. Performs final inspection and makes final acceptance of vehicle for release to flight status. May perform surveillance inspection and other related inspection assignments incidental to the primary duties. Position may require up to 10% travel to support off-site testing.
* Must be able to initially achieve an Interim Secret and ultimately a Secret Security Clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
* Five years Aviation Maintenance with Quality Control/Assurance experience; minimum of 3 years of experience in aircraft ground operations on an active flight line.
* Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings/specifications/maintenance instructions and able to apply their intent for evaluating any deviations from specifications to determine acceptability of operations.
* Experience with FOD/Tool Control, as well as understanding of HAZMAT, Hydraulic Fluid Contamination, Safety, Maintenance Information Systems, and Training programs.
* Experience conducting audits, in progress and after the fact inspections and compose reports and correspondence as necessary in the performance of assigned duties.
Desired Skills:
* Experience using precision measuring tools and inspection instruments, equipment or combinations of such items required to accomplish verification of conformance to technical data and support documentation of nonconforming conditions.
* General working knowledge of AS9100 standards and process knowledge of quality documentation, statement of condition, nonconforming material, process/product auditing, and surveillance techniques.
* Specific Flight Test experience highly preferred.

Position Description:
We have been contracted to conduct inspections of Vape manufacturers. We are seeking Inspectors to conduct compliance check inspections on Vape Shops and to collect all data necessary to determine a retailers compliance with the applicable laws.The information and evidence collected during inspections will be utilized to document manufacturers compliance with all applicable requirements.
Essential Functions:
Travel to assigned locations according to schedule to complete compliance checks.
Perform regular inspections of Vape retailers and complete compliance check inspection forms.
Identify and document relevant facts and findings needed to complete inspections assigned.
Perform interviews and inspections with key business officials in a professional manner.
Capture and collect high-quality photographs of evidence about the requested information from the inspectional form.
Provide accurate highly quality and timely reports on all inspections.
Prepare a narrative report revealing potential compliance issues or violations.
Adhere to strict regulations regarding the performance of inspections.
Inspectors may be called upon to testify as witnesses, if and when requested, in administrative hearings and court proceedings related to inspections they conducted.
Required Qualifications:
Must be a STATE employee within the food, drug, or health industry and be able to obtain credentials and commission to conduct inspections. Must be able to coordinate inspections as well as accurately record information collected from inspection sites for reporting purposes.
Must possess strong written and oral communication skills
Possess strong attention to detail
Skillful at using tools, equipment, and systems to accomplish work
Possess exceptional time management and organizational skills
Able to pass a background investigation
Able to obtain a commission
Must not have a conflict of interest with the assigned manufacturers

The Bureau of Child Care ensures that child care services in New York City operate in compliance with the New York City Health Code and New York State Social Service regulations and are licensed or permitted as required by law. The Bureau routinely monitors child care programs to protect the health and safety of children while in the child care environment, and actively works to improve and expand access to high quality programs which support early childhood development and learning.
The Bureau of Child Care seeks to hire Child Care Inspectors (Public Health Sanitarians) to conduct inspections of child care programs throughout New York City and to enforce pertinent laws, rules and regulations.
DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:
* Conduct periodic inspections of childcare programs involving visual inspection of premises, review of documents and records field testing and sample collection;
* Prepare reports using a handheld tablet to document inspection findings in a complete, clear, accurate and timely fashion;
* Review findings with and instruct operators on regulatory compliance and remedial measures including but not limited to proper food handling, sanitation, vermin control and other areas of environmental health;
* Issue court summonses and hearing notices and may close establishments in cases of imminent danger;
* Determine site viability related to applications for permits to open a child care program under the NYC Health Code and/or NYS Regulations;
* Conduct data collection and reporting activities for routine operations and for special studies and surveys;
* Attend and testify at administrative hearings as representative of the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene;
* Travel throughout New York City using mass transit or a personal car and carry approximately 15 pounds of inspection equipment.
* Selected candidates will be expected to travel to Albany, NY for training and elsewhere throughout the State for an annual NYS Regulator's meeting. Expenses paid by the agency.

Minimum Qualifications
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college, including or supplemented by 30 semester credits in the physical and/or biological sciences, i.e., biology, botany, chemistry, geology, physics, physiology, and zoology; of which not more than 12 credit hours may be in the applied sciences, i.e., environmental technology, sanitation technology, medical technology, public health, infection control or food service; or
2. An associate degree from an accredited college, with 15 semester credits in the physical and/or biological sciences, of which not more than 6 credit hours may be in the applied sciences, and 5 years of experience as a public health technician assisting sanitarians and engineers in carrying out the various elements of prevention and control programs affecting the public's health.
