Compensation:
Hourly range is $34.72 to $52.95. The hourly wage is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and employment status. The hourly wage will increase into the Mammo Technologist scale upon successful Mammo training and certification.
The pay range listed above is base pay; this position may be eligible for additional compensation, such as shift differential (applied to all evening and weekend hours).

Position Summary:
Consistently provides patient care services in a professional and compassionate manner
Assists the Mammography tech to properly perform Mammography exams to ACR standards
Ability to physically assist patients to obtain high quality imaging
Assists radiologist with specialized procedures
Prepares sterile trays as applicable
Properly screens patient orders and prior imaging for any exam precautions
Assists in monitoring patient flow to meet company productivity, quality, health, and safety standards
Ability to de-escalate conflict situations as applicable and the ability to recognize when a situation is beyond individual training/expertise and requires assistance
Stays timely with all certification requirements
Qualifications and Requirements:
Must have a National certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
A valid Washington State Radiologic Technologist license
Current certification in Healthcare Provider CPR/BLS

X-Ray Technologist Job Duties:
Prepares patients for radiologic procedures. Protects patient, self, and other staff from radiation hazards. Takes X-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety, which involves setting up and operating radiographic equipment used in the medical diagnosis and/or treatment of patients and includes implementing infection control procedures for the work area. Selects proper ionizing factors for radiological diagnosis. Adjusts/sets radiographic controls. Positions patients and takes X-rays of specific parts of the patient's body as requested by physicians. Checks X-rays for clarity of image, retaking when needed.
Maintains required records including patient records, daily log books, and monthly reports. Performs quantity and quality control checks to assure X-ray unit meets standards required by laws, rules, and departmental policies. Complies with safety standards.
Cleans, maintains, and makes minor adjustments to radiographic equipment, including determining equipment repairs.
Maintains radiographic supplies and orders as necessary.
Requests outside images for upcoming appointments. Ensures images are available for surgery at outside facility, if necessary.
Other duties as assigned.
X-Ray Technologist Job Requirements:
Completion of an ARRT accredited radiology program.
Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologist registration.
Active Washington State Radiologic Technologist registration.
Minimum 1 year of X-Ray Technologist experience preferred.
Current BLS Certification or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire.
