The Production Operator assists in setting up and operating thermoplastic extruders and associated production equipment to convert plastic resins into blown film for flexible plastic sheeting, tubing or bags. Performs manufacturing operations which will result in efficiently producing a flexible product on a timely basis that meets all the customer's product specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Follows Amcor's Global's Safety and company policies.• Reviews Production Order Form specifications to insure the correct equipment, packaging supplies and raw materials are available to produce a product that meets the customer's specifications.• Assists in performing equipment production setup under the direction of the Lead Operator or his designee. Set ups may include but are not limited to the following production equipment:• Sets up and controls all aspects of the extruder machine operation.• Periodically observes and checks finished film coming off the production lines and if detects substandard product takes immediate corrective action to eliminate any causes of sub-standard product.• Monitors production equipment to insure equipment is operating properly and under supervision of the Lead Operator performs routine maintenance on equipment.

JOB SUMMARY: Performs all of the tasks in the operation of the micro mold production machines at Accumold. Uses the quality system and work instructions that have been established to complete the production of plastic parts correctly and independently.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops a thorough understanding of the operation of micro mold machinery.
Monitors assigned machines using established parameters. Following work instructions, checks assigned parts at regular intervals. Inspects product continuously to maintain highest quality parts.
Keeps feeder bowls adequately filled. Monitors dryer and oven trays to maintain sufficient material for production run.
Builds upon working knowledge of machines, process and experience to troubleshoot problems.
Measures parts and follows SPC procedures as required by work instructions and/or customer requirements.
Promotes efficient production practices by performing ongoing tasks necessary to ready finished product.
Communicates production problems with lead people or management as needed.
