The Database Administrator Sr will be responsible for managing the daily operations and long-term health of all Structured Query Language (SQL) server database systems. Duties & Responsibilities:

Manages and administers SQL workloads hosted in Microsoft Azure, including Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and related services.

Coordinates with network administrators and application developers to optimize database performance in support of application requirements.
Provides functional and technical expertise for client/server development, particularly database design and optimization.
Provides technical guidance and assistance to programmers and analysts in the database analysis process.
Researches, analyzes, and resolves problems related to access, usage and performance of the database system.
Creates and maintains physical database structures to support application development.
Maintains SQL servers and database security across various environments.
Develops and implements comprehensive backup strategies and disaster recovery plans.
Automates day-to-day database administration tasks through scripting and job scheduling.
Manages database upgrade processes, including patching and version migrations.
Fulfills on-call/after-hours support as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems (MIS) or a related field PLUS 4 years of experience with progressive technical responsibilities in IT with specific emphasis on SQL server administration required, including 1 year of experience managing SQL environments in Azure; an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the position such as those listed above may also be qualifying.

Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) or equivalent Azure certification (e.g., Azure Database Administrator Associate).
