The OT will be able to identify patients/customers: Inpatients, Outpatients, Home Health/Hospice patients, Sub-Acute Unit patients (neonates to geriatrics). The OT is responsible for performing an age-specific assessment designed to gather data relevant to the patient's individual needs. This includes assessment and evaluation of cognitive, sensory, neurological, musculoskeletal, functional, and physiological status. The OT develops a plan of care, performs treatment as indicated, assesses patients' response to treatment, and assists with discharge planning. The OT utilizes exercise, equipment, and physical agents to improve strength, balance, coordination and range of motion, and to decrease pain to restore a patient's optimal mobility and functional ability. The OT provides education related to the treatment program, disease process, and prevention of further injuries to the patient, family/caregiver and other members of the healthcare team. Depending on the location, the OT will be expected to delegate and monitor treatment provided by Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants. The OT will coordinate, delegate, and supervise responsibilities assigned to supportive staff (Rehabilitation Techs, LATs, etc.). The OT may be asked to create and participate in Community Engagement activities that focus on healthy lifestyle promotion, preventative medicine, and wellness topics. The OT will participate in operational and performance improvement aspects of the department. The OT will maintain awareness of budgetary and fiscal responsibility as it pertains to wages, overtime, productivity, and continuing education. The OT will ensure that documentation is complete and charges are accurately entered on a timely basis. The OT will participate in all mandated departmental and organizational educational programs. This position will be at the Eau Claire Outpatient Hand Clinic.
Qualifications
Obtained, or eligible to obtain, a degree (or equivalent) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited Educational Institution. Master of Occupational Therapy degree preferred. American Occupational Therapy Association Board Specialty or Certification preferred, but not required.Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Strong written and verbal skills. Basic computer knowledge. Knowledge of Physical Medicine, Occupational Therapy Modalities, anatomy, and physiology. Decision making and problem solving skills. Team building skills.Occupational Therapy Licensed or eligible for Occupational Therapy License, in the state of Wisconsin. Health In Motion is expanding and seeking a full-time Physical Therapist for an outpatient orthopedic position in Hayward, Wisconsin. This is a Staff Level role with mentorship and support available for new graduates.
40 hours per week available; candidates with 30+ hours will also be considered.

PTs at this location typically see up to 40 patients per week.
Provide one-on-one direct patient care.
Hours / Work Schedule:
Full-time role with flexible scheduling based on candidate preferences.
Clinics operate Monday through Friday.
No weekend or holiday hours required.
Flexible schedule options: 3, 4, or 5 days per week.
Compensation:
Starting salary for new graduates is approximately $67,000 per year.

The Occupational Therapist provides occupational therapy to neonates, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Evaluates, treats, and plans patient care in accordance with Occupational Therapy standards, considering the needs of the patient as it pertains to the age and diagnosis of the patient.
HOURS: Full-Time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every pay period, day shift rotation
Experience/Qualifications
Knowledge of occupational therapy standards and practices normally acquired through a minimum of a bachelor's degree in occupational therapy.
Previous experience as an Occupational Therapist beneficial.
Current Wisconsin Occupational Therapy license required.
Current CPR certification or obtained within 90 days of hire - All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training through independent study, manikin, and knowledge testing. An acceptable CPR training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED.
