Clinical Laboratory Supervisor - Flow Cytometry Ft Myers, FL Monday-Friday, evenings or overnights The Laboratory Supervisor is accountable for the accuracy and reliability of all laboratory services provided by the specialty department section under his/her immediate control. The Writing Lab Coordinator manages the day-to-day operations of the Writing Lab housed in the Center for Academic Achievement. As part of the learning center, the Writing Lab Coordinator recruits, trains, and supervises a team of peer writing consultants, collaborates with faculty and staff across departments/offices on the development of the CAA's writing services, and provides guidance and on writing-focused best practices for the Writing Lab's peer consultants. The Nursing Laboratory/Simulation Education Coordinator holds the position of Instructor I and reports to the Director of the School of Nursing. Additional Job Description Required Qualifications * Earned Master of Science in Nursing degree or related field from a regionally accredited institution/program (or equivalent) * Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) certification * Three or more years of clinical experience in the CHSE role * Licensed, or eligible for licensure, as a registered nurse in the State of Florida * Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers * Valid driver's license to travel to off-campus sites and clinical agencies within the region Preferred Qualifications * Experience as a faculty member in a nursing education program at the College/University level * Experience with virtual/distance teaching platform experience * Experience with simulation in education * Service in professional organizations (e.g., membership and/or committee involvement) * Bi- or multi-lingual, with Spanish preferred as one of the languages Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: * Knowledge of major concepts, assumptions, debates, processes of inquiry, and ways of knowing that are central to the discipline(s). * Understands how to use digital and interactive technologies to efficiently and effectively achieve specific learning goals. * Knowledge of critical thinking processes and understanding how to help learners develop high-level questioning skills. * Knowledge and skill in the use of inquiry-based instructional models and strategies. * Knowledge and ability to use technology in various teaching modalities (e.g., Face-to-face, synchronous online, or asynchronous online). * Ability to collaborate with stakeholders both within and outside the University in developing and delivering instruction, resulting in improved student learning. Clinical duties include specimen verification and processing, phlebotomy, sample tracking including the cancellation and crediting of laboratory tests, and processing of send out testing. Clerical duties include phone reception, printing and distributing reports, operation of office equipment such as fax machines, copy machines, and printers, in addition to basic computer skills in the Laboratory information system.
