    The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Compliance Manager is responsible for coordinating and overseeing performance and programmatic requirements associated with EHS compliance at water and wastewater facilities to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Specifically NPDES, stormwater permits and water quality regulations. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for leading and directing the environmental compliance for water & wastewater projects. Responsibilities include: * Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal environmental laws and regulations related to water and wastewater management, including permits and reporting requirements. * Understand the environmental compliance regulatory environment for water and wastewater treatment (CWA, SDWA, NPDES) and be knowledgeable of Environmental Protection Agency regulations (Federal and State). * Assist projects to understand federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and provide guidance and resources to ensure compliance * Conduct audits and assessments to evaluate compliance status and implement corrective actions as necessary. * Track compliance metrics, identify opportunities, and work with EHS staff to implement initiatives that will enhance and improve the programs. * Track and report progress related to corrective action plans developed to improve EHS and compliance. * Assist with preparing for or responding to regulatory inspections to ensure that any required actions are completed or information provided. * Maintain knowledge of new regulations and standards as they are introduced and/or changed that impact company operations. * Conduct investigations in response to concerns related to regulatory environmental compliance. * Develop, provide, and continuously improve EHS recordkeeping and reporting programs. * Develop and conduct training for staff on environmental compliance policies and procedures. * Develop and implement policies and procedures for the compliant operations of water and wastewater projects. * Stay current with industry best practices and emerging regulations to inform policy updates. * Serve as a point of contact for regulatory agencies and stakeholders regarding compliance matters. * Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree and 7+ years of experience in environmental management, compliance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in the water and wastewater sector. Strong knowledge of environmental regulations (e.g., Clean Water Act, Safe Drinking Water Act). Licenses/Certifications: Valid Driver's License; Water or Wastewater Operator Certification a plus. Technical: Ability to produce high quality documents for clients and regulatory agencies. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications & internet. Advanced knowledge of EPA regulations. Further knowledge of these regulations in various states is a plus. Water and wastewater sector experience. Communication: Communicates clearly & professionally. Contributes to a positive internal & external customer experience. Maintains composure in challenging situations. Collaborates with others. Asks for constructive feedback. Communicates detailed information. Problem Solving & Quality: Pays attention to detail. Identifies & solves complex issues. Escalates issues; accordingly, Checks work for quality.
