Description:Function Maintain and coordinate aircraft fueling facility according to flight operations requirements, and operate fuel trucks and related equipment to perform aircraft fueling and defueling operations per GOSM requirements. Typical Responsibilities
Follow established fuel provisioning and requisitioning procedures, inventory control and allocation, fueling safety precautions, vehicle maintenance procedures, maintenance department rules and regulations to control the overall dispensing of fuel for aircraft.
Required to perform the regular duties of Fuel Truck Driver and coordinate aircraft fueling service activities to sustain flight operations.
Responsible for maintaining records of total fuel dispensed, amounts drawn from bulk storage, charge or credit of fuel per aircraft, and the forwarding of information to Production Control for perpetual inventory of fuel supply.
Follow up on requisitioning of additional fuel.
Receive incoming fuel for bulk storage and verify amount received.
Coordinate aircraft fueling services with flight operations schedules and requirements for each day's activities.
Perform fueling, defueling and calibrating operations, maintaining fuel facility, inventory, records and reports; and daily maintenance and inspection of utility and auxiliary power and fuel facility and fueling equipment per GOSM requirements.
Maintain and perform all applicable testing of fuel as required per GOSM requirements.
Direct one or two others in covering fueling assignments.
Report any difficulties in providing fuel services, method of handling, safety violations, operation of vehicles and equipment, etc., to Supervisor or Hanger Management
Recommend changes or modifications of system to improve aircraft fueling services.
When emergency or unusual conditions arise in operations of maintenance department or at request of supervisor, may be assigned to other maintenance duties usually of a less skilled nature.
Perform operator checklist as required.
Contribute to the overall effectiveness of equipment by performing operator required upkeep.
Follow all rules and regulations pertaining to environmental health and safety.
Segregate waste material and follow good housekeeping practices.
Refer only unusual conditions to Working Leader or supervisor.
Basic Qualifications:
Requires an elementary knowledge of clerical methods, forms, and records with ability to use arithmetical calculations, compiles simple reports, and coordinate aircraft fueling services.
Also requires knowledge of aircraft fueling operations, safety procedures, and vehicle maintenance.
Requires a short specialized training in aircraft fueling operations and control.
Requires vehicle operator's license.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
VEHICLE OPERATION
As directed by Assistant Town Manager and aligned with Streets Department priorities, the part-time public transportation driver will safely and efficiently provide on-demand, shared transportation within the Town of Granby. This will connect the various neighborhoods within Granby to one another and to the downtown corridor.
Operate Town of Granby owned 8-passenger minivan or 12-passenger minibus
Navigate roads within the Town of Granby designated service area, providing a safe trip even during adverse weather conditions.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, reporting any maintenance issues promptly and ensuring the van interior and exterior is clean and ready for passengers.
Operate vehicle in an environmentally responsible manner by minimizing fuel consumption and emissions whenever possible.
RIDE DISPATCH
As directed by the Downtowner Mobile Application, the driver will respond to requests for transportation. The ride pick-up and drop-off location must occur within the Town of Granby designated service area.
Accept ride requests, follow routing instructions, and manage trips efficiently.
Ensure all rides start and end within the designated service area as outlined in program guidelines.
Communicate with town staff to resolve route or passenger concerns. Transportation will not be provided for an unaccompanied child under 12-years of age or for anyone who is visibly under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
EXCEPTIONAL PASSENGER SERVICE
Public Transportation Drivers represent the Town in all interactions.
Greet passengers warmly, assist with boarding, and provide a comfortable ride experience.
Provide clear communication regarding estimated times of arrival, route updates, or delays.
Assist passengers with mobility needs or luggage as required and appropriate.
Monitor passenger behavior and address any concerns or issues, always maintaining professionalism.

Truck Driver Skills and Qualifications:

Follow all Traffic laws/ DOT regulations.
Ability to lift 80 pounds.
