This position is fully remote although persons local to the DMV area are welcomed to come to the office at any time.
The OAAS Manager is the liaison between the partner, the client, and the professional staff. The manager is responsible for managing multiple outsourced accounting projects and engagements simultaneously, and scheduling, staffing, and coordinating of engagement workflow and quality. Also develops and trains staff and builds relationships leading to new business for the firm.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for all phases of outsourced accounting engagements.
Maintains contact with clients throughout the year; possesses a thorough knowledge of the client and all facets of client's business.
Plans, schedules and staff engagements using firm policies and procedures.
Maintains familiarity with qualifications of all staff members; reviews and makes staff assignments accordingly.
Prepares engagement letter for approval by partner.
Assists with client billing.
Evaluates internal controls and work programs prepared by staff.
Adheres to engagement time budgets.
Supervises staff and provides on-the-job training; reviews work papers and reports.
Anticipates problem areas of engagement and questions that will arise.
Keeps partner informed of significant developments on engagements; analyzes problems and recommends solutions.
Ensures that client financial statements are prepared in accordance with professional and firm standards.
Communicates progress of engagements, problems and resolutions to client.
Develops staff by assisting in performance evaluations, recruiting, and training.
Possesses a complete knowledge of the firm's philosophy and its opinions on financial matters.
Maintains knowledge of general economic and political trends and legislation that could affect the business climate and the clients.
Mentor and train staff.
Other (Secondary) Functions:
Acts as an instructor in professional development programs.
Prepares other reports and projects as requested from time to time by the partners.
Such other duties as may be assigned.
Participates in firm's practice and proposal development efforts.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related area (economics, finance, etc.).
CPA license desirable but not required.
5 years or more experience in public accounting or private industry, demonstrating a progression in complexity, scope, and number of engagements managed. A concentration in nonprofit organizations preferred, but we will train the right candidate. Prior CPA firm experience is preferred.
Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and Sage Intacct preferred.
Experience with cloud-based applications such as Bill.com, Tallie, Expensify, is preferred.
Organize projects, set priorities, and delegate tasks under evolving circumstances for different clients & partners.
Keep long term objectives in mind while focusing on daily activities.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive firm and client information.

Specific responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
· Working with the Chief Executive Officer and the Associate Director, Investments, to establish, manage, and maintain robust, efficient processes for finding, evaluating, and approving new alternative investment strategies and equity and fixed income investment managers/strategies and monitoring/reviewing the performance of all existing investment and investment managers/strategies on a real-time basis
· Working with the Managing Director, Operations, managing the “onboarding” of all new investment managers/strategies, which includes meeting investment closing deadlines, ensuring that the investment strategy is presented to all appropriate client families, coordinating document reviews, drafting side letters, and informing the Operations Team of specific timeframes and action items
· Performing the business review, and quarterbacking the legal and tax review, for investment agreements (offering memorandums, partnership documents, subscription documents, term sheets, investment agreements, investment guidelines, stock transfer agreements, side letters, custody agreements, etc.)
· Establishing, managing, and maintaining an efficient process for evaluating “one-off” public or private stock investments proposed by client families with a particular focus on the risk/reward profile, liquidity, and timing of the proposed investment
· Assisting the client portfolio managers in managing and communicating portfolio asset allocation strategy for each investment portfolio according to each portfolio's time horizon, withdrawal needs, and the portfolio owner's risk tolerance
· Understanding each investment strategy and investment position in every investment portfolio
· Assisting the client portfolio managers in managing the appropriate sizing for each investment strategy in every investment portfolio
· Staying abreast of the capital markets, their performance, and investment opportunities created by market events
· Managing foreign currency hedging strategies for client families
· Working with our Managing Director and in-house real estate expert to manage directly owned real estate investments for client families
· Managing GRAT and estate planning investment strategies for client families, including strategically swapping GRAT assets and using creativity

· Drafting and distributing investment memos and emails to client family members regarding proposed investments
· Managing investment operations for client families in conjunction with the Operations Team, including capital calls, investment distributions, cash withdrawals, and contributions

The ideal candidate is responsible for relationship development, practice development and sales of the Biote Method to practitioners. Sales activity includes prospecting, cold calling, practice development, tradeshows, sales events, and other methods for creating leads and closing sales for Biote within the approved price matrix. In addition, the Liaison provides technical, educational, and Provider Partner support. This is a field-based remote position.As a District Manager, your daily responsibilities will include:
Acquiring and retaining extensive knowledge of hormone replacement therapy through materials provided by Biote, as well as outside sources.
Effectively conducting physician, staff and patient training in the areas of Biote's business protocols; specifically, marketing, financial, therapy, forms, patient seminars, company online resources and other topics that may change from time to time.
Ability to read and understand medical and scientific studies.
Researching and evaluating physicians in assigned areas based on Biote's criteria for appropriateness and suitability.
Effectively presenting Biote's training and business program to physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, office managers and office staff.
Recruiting suitable physicians and other practitioners through professional and effective prospecting, appointment setting and presentation skills.
Cultivating and maintaining mutually productive partnerships with practitioners to grow new and current practices and maintain patient retention levels of 60% or better.
Effectively conducting physician, staff and patient training in the areas of Biote's business protocols; specifically, marketing, financial, therapy, forms, patient seminars, company online resources and other topics that may change from time to time.
Securing all required contracts, paperwork and documentation as well as payments and fees as needed for attendees to participate in regular training and certification classes.
Conducting and facilitating patient educational seminars as needed for trained practitioners on a monthly basis.
Contributing to the development of the practice by assisting the Office Manager/Marketing position with email marketing, social media, referral cards and website information cards.
Prospecting for new leads and identifying quality sales prospects from active leads.
Attending marketing and sales events for prospects and current customers.
Working with customers for sales referrals with new prospects.
Updating all relevant sales activities in the Company's CRM system.
Closing sales accurately and effectively each month to meet or exceed targets.
Responding to all emails received from the customer and Biote employees and related vendors in a timely manner.
Performing other related duties as required or requested.
As a District Manager, your background should include:
Bachelor's degree
Strong teamwork, communication (written and oral), client management, and interpersonal skills.
Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience in a business-to-business model, preferably medical device, diagnostics, and/or biotech.
Strong work ethic and time management skills
Ability to make effective and persuasive communications and technical presentations to physicians, management and/or large groups. Ability to thoroughly understand and communicate the attributes and qualities of Company products using professional selling and closing skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and customer relationship management software.
Ability to travel in order to do business, approximately 20% of the month.
Scheduled hours are 40 to 50 hours per week Monday through Friday but may be extended as required to execute the tasks assigned.
Valid driver's license issued by the state/province in which the individual resides and a good driving record is required.

As the District Manager, you will oversee our 3 Plato's Closet locations. You will be primarily responsible for leading, managing, and holding the Store Managers accountable to running their stores. Most weeks, you will be working from home for 1-2 days and visiting stores for 3-4 days. You will need to be an excellent problem-solver, love analyzing and improving numbers related to store profitability, and great with ensuring the right people are in the right seats.
Note: One of our stores is located in Texas, so this position will require travel to Texas. When the store is performing well, you can expect to go to Texas once every other month or once per quarter. When the store is going through staffing issues, travel to Texas could be every month.
