Quad is currently seeking an experienced Second Press Operator for our Winchester, VA location. This position will set-up, operate and maintain the press and auxiliary equipment related to the press. The Press Operator will direct the activities of press crew with assigned tasks during downtime and make-ready periods. Job Duties include, but are not limited to:
Make-ready and operate press based upon written instructions provided.
Establish and maintain color and/or fold and mechanical quality to BPC standards.
Continuously monitor product for quality and approve or reject.
Direct and coordinate activities of assigned crew members.
Perform assigned make-ready duties.
Complete required general maintenance and lubrication assignments.
Complete required documentation, electronic and paper, for assigned job.
Perform duties of other Print Service manufacturing positions as needed, following requisite training.
Provide training for employees so the crew members can provide coverage for each other and/or prepare them for future positions.
Follow all safety policies and regulations, report any potential hazards, near-misses, or accidents immediately.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Ability to work irregular schedules, including rotating day/night shifts
Ability to maintain close attention to detail for extended time periods

Ability to work overtime as mandated by production needs

Essential Functions of this job include the following: the ability to lift 10-15 pounds continuously, the ability to lift up to 70 pounds occasionally, stand long hours, use hand and wrists continuously in a controlled movement, receive and follow instructions and use vision in order to identify defects.
Ability to work 12 hour shifts 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am, which may include days, nights, weekends and overtime.

What you will do:
The specific duties include but are not necessarily limited to the following:
Responsible for providing AF Senior Officers client sight service, repair and/or installation support of existing hardware, software, network configurations and new system initiatives for all sites within area of responsibility.
Duties may include providing roving site support services as well as assisting in the development and ensuring adherence to area-wide procedural/policy changes.
Handles routine requirements, like new customer installs, small office moves, and technical refresh.
Create and maintain a central repository for technical advice and solutions of network systems, software applications assistance, automatic data processing support, hardware exchange, and repair service support.
Assist with reporting network performance metrics using Remedy Action Reporting System. Utilize Remedy to enter, document, track, coordinate, route, resolve, and close user ticket issues.
Work with HQ software license manager to prevent unlicensed software on the network
Perform onsite analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex technical issues, recommending and implementing effective corrective solutions.
Collaborate with LAN technicians and network administrators to maintain the stability and performance of the desktop computing environment.
Support computer data communications systems, with a solid understanding of networking principles and routing concepts.
Plan and implement system upgrades, evaluate hardware and software solutions, and ensure optimal network functionality.
Work closely with Tier III engineers on incident response, configuration management, and ongoing network maintenance.
Install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN devices to support client infrastructure needs.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical incidents, demonstrating strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Ensure timely completion of tasks in accordance with Service Level Objectives/Agreements (SLOs/SLAs).
Create and execute standard network change requests as part of scheduled maintenance or project work.
Provide hands-on support to Tier III network engineers during incident resolution and project implementation.
Manage inventory and coordinate network operations, including maintenance, repairs, and hardware/software upgrades.
Demonstrate working knowledge of Layer 2 switching concepts, including VLAN configuration and port security.
Support end-user workstation software, resolving issues as needed to maintain productivity.
Handle incoming service requests via phone, email, instant message, and voicemail, ensuring timely and accurate response.
Document all desktop equipment issues, including failures, repairs, installations, and removals, with a high degree of accuracy.
Maintain detailed records of incident ticket updates and resolutions in the designated tracking system.
Interface with third-party vendors and support providers when necessary to resolve equipment-related issues.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Common Access Cards (CACs), CAC readers, and PKI certificates.
Address problems involving VPN connectivity, Microsoft Outlook, and general network access.
Use Active Directory to manage and support user accounts, including permissions and group memberships.
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
Technically strong and able to make quick, sound decisions.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills are a must.

Compile and evaluate material characteristics and electrical test data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process or material specifications. May conceive and plan projects involving definition and selection of new concepts, equipment technology, tooling and tooling design, kiln and firing techniques and associated refractory materials.
Implement improvements, make process changes through established change controls, and ensure the processes meet required yields and material performance requirements.
Responsible for defining and establishing process documentation, including work instructions and process controls.
Will collaborate with the Manufacturing teams to support required KPIs, goals and objectives and make problem solving a priority to support Manufacturing.

Qualifications

This position will be responsible for performing non-research molecular testing to rapidly identify and characterize potential pathogenic bacterial and viral threat agents. Ensures incoming biological samples are processed and triaged maintaining chain of custody. Performs and interprets a variety of specialized tests and strains, detection, and identification of pathogenic microorganisms. Prepares written and oral reports, answers questions, troubleshoot and makes recommendations to the supervisor for inclusion in comprehensive reports on test findings. Maintains and operates equipment including performing calibrations, adjustments, and to operate equipment and instruments properly and in a safe manner. Participates in cross training related to bioterrorism and other public health emergencies. Additionally, will be responsible for maintaining knowledge and skills related to position and program and to carry out all procedures in accordance with proper handling and storage of various biological materials. Must be available 24/7/365 to respond in case of emergency. Rotating weekends and some holidays are required. Kindly be aware that drug screening is a mandatory condition of employment for this position.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in microbiology, molecular biology, or related course work in biological sciences.
REQUIRES at least one year of laboratory bench experience, utilizing PCR, aseptic techniques and experience with biological assays. Laboratory training that is assigned or accompanies an associated course is not considered applicable training. Biological Safety Level (BSL)-3 experience is highly desirable.

What are the Key Deliverables in this role ?

Prepare samples for tasting by roasting, grinding, set up cups, pouring water. Taste samples and evaluate against standards.
Test Green coffee samples for moisture, density and evaluate grade; input approval in Roasting Control Room.
Instrument set up, calibration and support.
Project work: data analysis, procedure writing, etc. (mainly desk work).
Participate in new product development/sensory evaluation.
Disposition product: Evaluate product and make hold, rework, release decisions.
Manage hold inventory in SAP. Lead SAP initiatives for the lab.
Lead Root Cause Analysis, Lead Kaizen projects.
Perform Internal Audits for BRC standard. Lead GMP audits and food safety training for plant associates.
Deputize for Quality Supervisor as needed. Back fill for Production Supervisors or Raw Material Coordinator as needed.

Job Summary
As a Spacecraft Communications Engineer at Lynk, you will wear many hats in the world of radio frequencies, electronics, hardware, and software. You will be responsible for the analysis, design, implementation, optimization, and enhancement of spacecraft communications systems for our satellites (and, ultimately, the future constellation network). Some work products will include spacecraft radio and ground station product evaluations, link budgets analyses, system dimensioning for coverage and capacity (including traffic analysis and simulation), initial system design and dimensioning, coverage planning, frequency planning, interference analysis, and mitigation techniques. You will also be responsible for supporting the iterative design and test of our spacecraft payload hardware/electronics and software. This will include working with software-defined radios, single-board computers, LNAs, and filters you will also be involved in spacecraft communication systems antenna selection and design. While playing with all this hardware on a bench, youll probably need to pick up a soldering gun, use a spectrum analyzer, and/or configure an RF channel simulator.

Core Responsibilities
Because Lynk is a small company, the Spacecraft Communications Engineer will straddle engineering work in the domains of RF, electrical, mechanical, and software engineering.
Continue to evolve Lynks spacecraft communications architecture, including components and systems that provide direct ground links, orbital relays, and inter-satellite links.
Evaluate and select spacecraft radios, antennas, and other RF components for spacecraft communication systems.
Define Concept of Operations for spacecraft communications and related ground systems.
Evaluate ground station options and select configurations that support the spacecraft communications Concept of Operations.
Design, plan, and conduct payload testing configurations on the ground when testing spacecraft communications performance both in-lab and in-orbit.
Interface with Systems Engineering team to inform constellation/network architecture and design based on spacecraft communications performance.
Perform link budget analyses, simulations, traffic/capacity analysis, RF system design and dimensioning, coverage and frequency planning, etc. for spacecraft communications systems.
Determine spacecraft antenna types, number, and placement required on spacecraft.
Perform integration of spacecraft communications systems components and software for the spacecraft and in the lab.
Support spacecraft integration, testing, and delivery to launch/spacecraft bus partners/vendors.
Develop and maintain technical documentation for spacecraft communications systems architecture definition, design, and development.
Qualifications
A Bachelors degree or better in RF or Electrical Engineering or related field.
Recent participation in projects developing space hardware and software, preferably space communications systems.
In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with software-defined radios, antennas, and ground station providers.
Experience integrating radios, antennas, and ground stations into an operating communications system, preferably, a space communications system.
Programming Proficiency in one or more programming languages is highly desired, such as, C++, C, Python, MATLAB, etc.
Proficient in working with Linux based systems.

Job Summary:
Lynk is developing cellular-based space payloads and seeks engineers with expertise and experience developing and optimizing SDR based receivers and signal processors. Aspects of the position require and understanding of SDR and FPGA hardware, firmware, signal processing and algorithms, and software for both transmit and receive paths. The overall radio performance that we desire is enhanced by custom software that takes advantage of aspects of the protocol as well as the physical layer attributes.
Lynk is looking for an experienced SDR Engineer to support the development of SDRs for both its primary (payload) and secondary (TT&C/feeder link) radio functions using a proprietary protocol. The SDRs will initially be tested in a lab environment and then on the payload prototype in a lab environment that simulates orbit operations, and finally in space. The SDR Engineer will also be responsible for implementing methods for SDR data acquisition to ensure successful testing, verification, and validation.
We build spacecraft fast, so the perfect candidate for this role will have significant previous experience designing, developing, and testing many SDRs particularly on rapid timelines. They will also be able to take advantage of that the rapid cadence which creates frequent opportunities to validate and mature their work in a real space environment. We are looking for engineers that enjoy a challenge and have a track record of creative thinking to solve unconventional problems.
Core Responsibilities:
The SDR Engineer will be responsible for design, development, and testing of all SDR software including its FPGA and host interface. This includes:
Evaluating SDRs for incorporation into our payload and spacecraft systems
Understanding the hardware-based requirements of SDRs, e.g., FPGA size, speed, internal clock stability, I/O interfaces, sample rates, dynamic range, radio chip architecture, gains and filtering as the signal progresses within the SDR.
Designing and evaluating DSP algorithms for satellite communication systems
Updating or creating host interface software to interact with the SDRs
Developing test software and drivers to support unit, integration, and system testing of all SDR software functions
Writing this software in C, C++, or other languages in a Linux environment
Working with other software team members to benchmark payload software applications
Testing and validating hardware blocks both in simulation and on target
Developing and maintaining documentation and ICDs for in-house IP blocks and other SDR related software
Qualifications:
A Masters degree (or better) in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field
Excellent foundation in DSP and Communication Theory
At least three years of recent experience working with SDRs
In-depth knowledge of digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms and communication theory (e.g., filter design, clock recovery, signal detection, channel estimation and equalization)
Experience with implementing DSP algorithms in C/C++
Experience with device drivers
Ability to create testbenches for benchmarking and testing
Knowledge in PHY and MAC layers of cellular standards (e.g., GSM, LTE, 5G) is a plus.
Experience with implementing DSP algorithms in FPGAs is a plus, but optional
Experience using lab equipment for testing and validation
