Responsibilities
Lead and manage monthly revenue close, including allocations, flux analysis, journal entries, and reconciliation of revenue, deferred revenue, and accounts receivable related accounts. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with US GAAP and ASC 606.
Prepare and review SEC disclosures such as remaining performance obligations. Ensure timely, accurate, and audit-ready documentation
Research revenue accounting guidance as needed and prepare technical accounting memos. Proactively advise leadership on potential impacts of new accounting pronouncements and business model changes.
Review systems and processes within the organization and drive cross-functional process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency, and scalability of accounting operations.

Coordinate internal and external audit requests, including preparation of supporting reports and documentation.

Manage and develop a high-performing Revenue Accounting Team by providing coaching, performance management, and development opportunities.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with a CPA license
10+ years of combined experience in a Big 4 or/and a global company
Expert in ASC 606 regarding the SaaS or software industry.
Experience in NetSuite Advanced Revenue Management (ARM), including an in-depth understanding of Items management, revenue recognition and reporting.
Strong in excel skills.
Experience in operational revenue accounting with a SaaS or software company
Experience in motivating and leading a team.

Summary
Reporting to the Development Controller, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for complex accounting and reporting duties as well as oversight and accountability of day‐to‐day project construction accounting. Responsibilities

Oversee the processing and recording of cash receipts and disbursements

How you will make an impact:
Own the end-to-end revenue accounting process, including recognition of commissions, contingent commissions, usage fees etc.
Apply and interpret ASC 606 across various revenue streams, including variable consideration and usage-based models.
Ensure timely and accurate month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting for all revenue-related accounts.
Maintain and update revenue recognition policies and accounting memos.

Financial Close & Reporting

About the Role:
As the Accounting Manager, you will take ownership of our financial processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll, job costing, and financial reporting. This is a hands-on position requiring both strategic oversight and day-to-day data entry, QuickBooks management, and general ledger maintenance. You’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate, timely financials and supporting company leadership with valuable insights.

What You’ll Do:
Manage the daily functions of the accounting department including invoicing, vendor payments, and bank deposits
Maintain accurate general ledger records and perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
Oversee job cost accounting and ensure accurate allocation of labor and materials
Handle payroll processing and manage employee timekeeping records
Generate and analyze financial statements, P&L reports, and cash flow projections
Collaborate with project managers to track budgets and costs
Assist with year-end close and coordinate with external accountants for tax preparation
Qualifications:
Prior experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or financial management (construction industry preferred)
Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and general accounting software
Strong understanding of job costing, accounts reconciliation, and financial reporting
Ability to handle data entry, AP/AR, and manage multiple accounting functions

The Accounting Manager assists in overseeing the accounting department functions, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of financial statements and reporting. The manager's responsibilities include establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting information.

Responsibilities:

The Accounting Manager reports to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and supports all parts of the organization to include the Business Development and Operations teams. This position manages all Government Contracting accounting functions such as: financial support and analysis, program reporting requirements, budgeting & cost capturing, bid proposal development, pricing strategies, rate build up, and contract close out.
Responsibilities:
Develops Provisional Rate Calculations, Forward Pricing, and Indirect Cost Rate Models
Supports projects to include: Provisional Billing Rate development; Incurred Cost Submission preparation, DCAA audits
Validates the classification, allocability, and allowability of cost based on FAR part 31 and CAS
Provides guidance on Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), Cost Accounting Standard (CAS) and other regulations to ensure adherence to applicable federal regulations and contract requirements related to Accounting
Ensures business systems are compliant with FAR/DFARS/CAS and industry best practices
Assists with proposals including strategic pricing and preparation of cost volumes
Reviews and develops policies and procedures related to accounting, pricing, and procurement
Prepares contract financial reporting and assists team members with preparing project budgets and forecasts
Manages all other accounting functions to include: trend analysis of Profit and Loss (P&L) and indirect cost rates, maintaining chart of accounts, compiling monthly accounting reports and General Ledger (GL) analysis, payroll tax set up and administration, and any project accounting needs
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance required
5+ years of financial reporting, cost accounting, project-based accounting, public accounting, and/or, consulting experience
5+ years of federal government contracting experience
Experience with various contract types (Firm Fixed Price, Time & Material and Cost Plus) and impact to Cost Accounting
Ability to perform full lifecycle accounting (Revenue, Expenditure, Production, Payroll, and Financing cycles)
Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite, especially Excel (working with pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and conditional formatting) and/or Power BI developing financial models
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), FAR, DFARS, CAS
Audit experience, particularly Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) audit
Detailed and results-oriented; ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with limited direction/supervision
Self-motivated, proactive, and career driven
Strong communication, interpersonal, and project management skills
Proficient in managing general ledgers, journal entries, and account reconciliations
